News

А number of videos connected with visa problems was prepared in the framework of “Go Europe, Go Belarus!” campaign. These films are mainly documentaries that show true stories of people limited by visas.

Border Land

Border Land is a short documentary film that reveals absurdity of living near the national frontier that was erected in the place where it never existed. That’s exactly what happened to the inhabitants of Belarusian-Lithuanian border zone when Lithuania joined EU and the Schengen Area. Visa restrictions combined with unwillingness of state officials to help make it impossible for people to visit their relatives living in the neighboring village because of the border between them. Another plot is about a young and ambitious Belarusian girl who wants to live and work in Lithuania, pay taxes and contribute to well-being of the society. Inflexible migration policy makes her life it so difficult that she feels completely unwanted. We shall add that Lithuania looses a great number of citizens every year as a result of emigration.

Separated Family

“Separated Family” is a story of a family that can’t unite because of a man-made barrier – visa regime.

Yana’s Space

This is a story of a young talented girl who has no opportunities to develop and cooperate with people from other countries because she can’t get a visa. She has plenty of plans and wishes but visa barrier doesn’t allow them to come true again and again.
